The meeting venue will be the Bausch Auditorium located in the Rochester Museum and Science Center which is on elegant East Avenue in the city of Rochester, New York. The Strasenburg Planetarium and a beautiful, shady park are right next door.

Within easy walking distance are the George Eastman Mansion, the International Museum of Photography, and the Memorial Art Gallery. Excellent restaurants, great nightlife and music, the Little Theater, and other attractions are also very close at hand. Rochester is home to three large urban parks designed by the well-known American landscape architect, Frederick Law Olmsted.


Lodging will be at the Strathallan Hotel, just a few minutes stroll from the Museum. Refer to the map for the hotel's location on East Avenue. Meals, lodging, and a catered picnic on Thursday evening, 1 June, will be included in the registration fee.


The catered barbeque supper on Thursday evening will be in Webster Park at the Parkview Lodge, which is at the corner of Lake and Holt Roads. This beautiful park is located east of Rochester right on the shore of Lake Ontario. A variety of walking paths and a long pier are found in the park. After dinner, a local naturalist will offer an informative slide talk on the geology and glacial origin of the Great Lakes. Transportation for hotel guests to the park and back will be provided, leaving promptly at 6 pm from the hotel.
