Registration for local attendees before 31 Jan 2006 (incl. all meals)                          $100.
Graduate student registration (incl. 2 nights lodging, double occupancy, all meals)    $90.*

*...This special rate is available to a limited number of bona fide graduate students accompanied by a faculty advisor also registered for the meeting.  Preference will be given to students who have submitted abstracts for presentation at the meeting.

Instructions for payment of registration fees

Registration fees may be submitted by credit card, personal check, or money order.   To guarantee participation, please send in your payment as soon as possible.  To qualify for the lower registration rate, payment by any means must be received by this date. All registrations will be acknowledged promptly by email.

How to get to Rochester

The Rochester, New York, airport is served by American, AirTran, Delta, JetBlue, Northwest, United Airlines, and USAir. (From JFK, JetBlue is recommended.)  The quickest way to the hotel from the airport is by taxi ($25.)  It may be possible during the day to arrange a transfer from the airport to the Strathallan Hotel via the hotel limousine.   Call the hotel at 1-585-461-5010 to arrange a pickup.  Bus and train service to Rochester from New York City, Boston, and Chicago is very limited.

Driving to Rochester:

Rochester is accessible from the east or west via the New York State Thruway (I-90) or from the south via I-390.  Refer to the fine maps at www.thruway.state.ny.us/maps/43-50.shtml.  The Strathallan Hotel is located at 500 East Avenue on the NW corner of Strathallan Blvd. It can be reached easily from I-490, which runs east/west through the heart of the city.

Coming from the west: exit the Thruway at exit #47 and take I-490 all the way into the city.  Take the exit at Culver Road and at the top of the ramp, turn left (north) to cross over I-490.  Then follow Culver Rd. instructions below.

Coming from the east: exit the Thruway at exit #45 and take I-490 all the way into the city, exiting at Culver Road.  At the top of the ramp, turn right (north) onto Culver.  Then follow Culver Rd. instructions below.

Coming from the south: exit I-390 at I-490 and proceed eastbound through the city.  Exit at Culver Road and at the top of the ramp, turn left (north) to cross over I-490.  Then follow Culver Rd. instructions below.

Directions from Culver Rd. exit: Proceed northbound on Culver to East Ave., turn left (westbound), proceed to Strathallan Ave. and turn right.  The hotel is right at the corner on the west side of the street.   Once at the hotel, it is recommended that you pull in to the small reception parking area at the entrance and ask the valet for assistance with secure parking.  Please refer to the map at www.visitrochester.com to locate the hotel.

Entry visas

Meeting attendees are reminded that it is prudent to determine visa requirements for entering the USA and to make any necessary application well in advance of travel.  If you anticipate difficulties in this application, contact the organizer as soon as possible to request a letter of invitation.

Lodging & Meals

Regular registration includes two nights reserved lodging (single occupancy for regular registrants) at the Strathallan Hotel.  Graduate students will be lodged double-occupancy.  The hotel is located at 500 East Avenue in Rochester, a pleasant five-minute walk from the meeting venue on the campus of the Rochester Museum and Science Center.  The phone number of the hotel is 1-585-461-5010.  Those traveling with their spouse, family, or other accompanying persons should contact the organizer when they register.

All registrations include meals, commencing with lunch on 31 May and ending with a box lunch on 2 June, 2006, plus the picnic on the evening of 1 June.  Those with special meal requirements are asked to contact the hotel directly.

Scientific sessions will be conducted in the Bausch Auditorium of the Rochester Museum and Science Center, 657 East Avenue, Rochester, NY.
